Description
Chinese porcelain ko-akai, wucai, plate with flat, everted rim, painted with a large, iron-red monkey seated beneath a fruiting peach tree beside lingzhi fungus, watching a deer, swooping birds and insects amongst rockwork and within underglaze blue double lines, the border with four different flower sprays including prunus, lotus and daisy on a chequered ground, the rim predominantly covered in a pale brown wash.
The base with a six-character mark of Chenghua within a double ring in underglaze blue.

Condition
Overall excellent condition, without any chips, cracks or restoration, with original firing imperfections and natural wear consistent with age
