Description

Chinese turquoise glazed biscuit porcelain water-dropper in the form of a fish above waves, with naturalistic scales and raised tail, covered in a bright turquoise glaze.

3 ⅜ inches, 8.6 cm long.

Kangxi, 1662-1722.

Wood stand.

  • From an important French private collection formed between 1924 and 1941.
  • Purchased from Pierre Saqué, 12 Avenue George V, Paris, 3rd April 1929.
