A Chinese porcelain famille rose circular bowl painted with coloured enamels gilt grisaille on the exterior with a plump bird, probably a sparrow, with blue, yellow and white feathers, perched on a branch of peonies, beside aster and other flowers beside butterflies, insect, caterpillar and grasshopper, the interior well with branch of peony and plum blossom, the inner rim with iron red and gilt diaper band divided by four panels of flowers.
