Description
A Chinese porcelain famille rose tea bowl and saucer of fluted petal form, painted with two fishing boats, one with fisherman and net and oarsman, the other with lady and oar and boy, in a river scene with flowering lotus in a mountainous landscape with farmer carrying bales of hay, another astride a water buffalo, a further figure in front of a terrace looks on.
The saucer 11 cm diameter, the tea bowl 6.5 cm.
Qianlong circa 1740.
Condition
Saucer perfect, minute wear on petal tip of cup.

£38,000Chinese imperial porcelain large dish, brightly painted in famille rose, fencai enamels with bajixiang, the eight auspicious emblems, each ribbon tied and amongst eight different flowering branches in pink, blue, light blue, turquoise green, iron red, gilt, yellow, white and lime green enamels encircling a stylised central flowerhead with interlinked other flowers, all within a double gilt border, the rim with a wide band of pink ruyi-heads on a lemon yellow ground, the underside with three different flower sprays each on a leafy branch with other flowers and leaves.
13 ½ inches, 34.2 cm diameter.
The base with a six-character mark of Guangxu in iron red and of the period, 1875-1908.

£55,000Chinese imperial porcelain famille rose, fencai, “over the wall” bowl and cover, all painted with fruiting lychee branches and buds, around the sides and continuing over the rim, with sprays of bamboo and a butterfly, hovering on the interior and exterior.
Diameter 4 3/8 inches, 11.1 cm.
The base and cover with six-character seal mark of Daoguang and of the period, 1821-1850.
