Chinese porcelain famille rose export “Mandarin” pattern erotic punch bowl, painted with ladies seated on rock work in landscape scene with their attendants, beside a river landscape with a village in the background, the other side with standing figures and further seated figures beside buildings, dispersed between reserves of pink flower heads and gilt ground, the underside with a satyr in an erotic scene with a naked lady, with a daybed and curtains, with a winged cherub leaving the scene and a bird underneath observing the scene, the interior with a floral sprays, beneath a spearhead border.

10 ¼ inches, 25.9 cm diameter.

Condition: One haircrack and some wear.
