Description

A Chinese porcelain famille verte fluted hexagonal chamber stick painted with flower heads and branches in fan shaped panels encircling the central candle holder, all on three biscuit feet.

11.5 cm diameter, 3.1 cm high.

Kangxi, 1662-1722.

Condition

Excellent.

  • Only two others appears recorded, possibly the pair to the present example and is illustrated by Christiaan Jorg in Oriental Porcelain, A Choice from the Boymans-van Beuningen Museum. no 15, p. 42, where the author notes, “another identical example is in the Westfries Museum in Hoorn”.
