Description

Chinese porcelain famille verte foliate blue enamel rim “Dutch Province” armorial dish, painted in the centre with a large gilt ground shield with a rampant lion beneath a crown with the arms of the Dutch city of Zutphen between open winged birds and gilt and iron-red peony branches, encircled by a twelve-petal moulded border with seated scholars and standing ladies dispersed between pine, daisy, lotus, chrysanthemum and prunus arrangements in vessels, the underside with two branches.
