Description
Japanese porcelain celadon lavender glazed bottle vase with rounded body, ribbed shoulder and upright galleried rim, covered overall on the base and interior with an even celadon lavender glaze thinning at the shoulder rib, the short foot rim brown.
9 ½ inches, 24.2 cm high.
Kawase Shinobu, 1982.
Wood box, described as ‘celadon flower vase’, signed and with artist’s seal, Shinobu, on the interior of the cover and the orange cloth.

- Included in the 3rd solo exhibition at Kandori, The New Otani Hotel, Tokyo, 1982; a related bottle vase with two ribs and another with a single rib without the galleried rim are illustrated in the catalogue, nos. 15 & 16.
