A pair of Chinese porcelain turquoise glazed vases of gu form, each carved with a continuous plantain leaf design on the lower and upper bodies, between a central bulge carved with four panels of chrysanthemum flowerheads on leafy reserves divided by four moulded flanges, covered overall in a bright and even glaze ending at the stepped foot rims.

20.6cm high, 10.6cm diameter.
