A Chinese porcelain cylindrical monochrome brush pot, bitong, covered all over in a rich and even aubergine glaze, incised on the body in a continuous scene with a large willow tree, two birds in flight between a half moon and a large insect, all between ribbed borders, the unglazed biscuit base revealing the body.
