A Chinese porcelain blue and white fluted deep bowl with upright petal rim, the exterior painted with eight panels, each with two birds perched on flowering camellia branches, facing each other with open beaks, above a stylised band of lotus petals, painted on the well of the interior with a similar circular medallion, beneath a band of camellia flowers and branches at the rim, the base with a character mark.
21.5 cm diameter
Kangxi, 1662-1722.

Condition: inner foot chip and three small petal chips restored, two tiny nibbles.
