A Chinese porcelain blue and white fluted and ribbed tea bowl and saucer painted in the centre of the saucer with lotus, flower and ferns emerging from open rockwork with an open-winged butterfly and insects above, all within a double ring surrounded by a moulded band of petal form enclosing flowers and foliage, the flared moulded rim with four birds amongst flowers and eight half moon panels enclosing half blooms, the underside rim with three flowering branches, the base with ‘yu‘ (jade) mark, within a double ring, the tea bowl similarly decorated.
