A pair of Chinese porcelain blue and white vases with pear-shaped bodies and long slender flared necks, each painted with six vertical panels, alternately decorated with the babao (8 Precious Things), ladies seated at a table looking at a vase of flowering aster in subsidiary fan-shaped panels, and bogu (The Hundred Antiques, or scholar’s objects), the necks decorated with bands of leaves, some enclosing stylized flowers, the bases with double ring marks.
