Japanese porcelain celadon lavender glazed fluted tea bowl, chawan, with pressed side, covered overall on the base and interior with an even pale celadon lavender Ru-type glaze thinning at the ribs, the foot and rim brown.

5 ½ inches, 14 cm across; 3 1/8 inches, 7.9 cm high.

Wood box, described as ‘celadon tea bowl’, signed and with artist’s seal, Shinobu, on the interior of the cover and the white silk cloth, with the seal, mon-koh-sei-sei-ari.

Chinese porcelain imperial green-enamelled dragon jar of ovoid form, decorated with two five-clawed dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls amongst ruyi-head clouds and flames beneath a wide band of the bajixiang on the shoulder and above a band of lappets at the foot, the cover decorated on the top surface with a five clawed dragon chasing the flaming pearl, the side of the cover with band of ruyi-heads. The base with six-character sealmark of Jiaqing in underglaze blue and of the period, 1796-1820.
