2000 Recent Acquisitions



The catalogue of Recent Acquisitions comprises of 42 pieces of Chinese and Japanese porcelain and works of art and accompanied our exhibition in 2000. Notable pieces are a large blue and white Ming figure of Zhongli Quan, exhibited in London in 1935, a large Yongzheng imperial celadon carved floral bowl, a large Yongzheng imperial celadon-ground dragon dish, a Jiaqing imperial ruby-ground famille rose vase with children at a New Year parade, a Song dynasty Longquan celadon vase and cover with relief dragon and birds, ex Palmer collection, a Qianlong imperial cloisonné guang and cover and a large oil painting of the Bund in Shanghai.
