Description
Macau depicting the Praya Grande looking North East from the rocky shore across the bay are the Monte and Guia Hills each with a fort at its summit.
A complete China Trade gouache and watercolour album in original silk binding, probably by the Tinqua studio, 49 leaves, with a German inscription, Looling Hong, Shanghai, March 1861, and a further inscription Dortmund, December 1935.

- Formerly in a European collection.
- This leaf comes from an album that likely included some of the last known paintings of the Canton factories before their destruction by fire on the evening of 15th December 1856. The album was remarkable for its quality and completeness and was perhaps specially commissioned for a European nobleman.
