Description
A set of six China Trade gouache and watercolour paintings on paper heightened in gum Arabic, three painted with palace garden scenes with figures amongst exotic overhanging trees, one with pagoda island, one with view along the Pearl river and one with a lake side scene.
Framed and glazed.
Each 32 x 23cm
Circa 1856.
Modern bamboo effect frames.
Can be sold as a set of 6 or pairs.

- Formerly in a European collection.
- The original album of paintings with inscription in German, Looling Hong, Shanghai, March 1861, and a further dedication when given as a gift in Dortmund, December 1935.
