Description
Chinese white and russet jade pendant, carved with three silkworms amongst fruiting mulberry branches and leaves with an open-winged large insect, the reverse with russet leaves and a further insect.
2 ½ inches, 5.8 cm long.
18th/19th century, circa 1800.

- This type of pendant is both rare and extremely fine. The workmanship, with the serrated edges of leaves, is reminiscent of the Suzhou school.
