    Chinese porcelain semi-eggshell bowl and cover, painted in rich famille rose enamels, the bowl with three lozenge-shaped reserves of flowering chrysanthemum, tree peony and rose, all in luminous pink, turquoise, yellow, blue and red enamels framed with a blue and gilt lozenge, all on a geometric pink ground beneath a band of rope in gilt at the rim, the interior painted with a cockerel standing on pierced rock work amongst flowering peony, looking up at a butterfly in flight, beneath a green diaper band on the upright rim, the cover similarly painted with three floral reserves on a pink diaper and green-bordered ground. The base with a six-character mark of Yongzheng in underglaze blue, within a double ring and of the period, 1723-1735. 4 5/8 inches, 11.7 cm diameter.

    Chinese porcelain blue and white, underglaze copper-red and celadon brush pot, bitong, painted and carved in a continuous mountain river landscape scene, with a fisherman in his boat moving towards a village and a viewing pavilion nestled amongst the mountains, with elaborate pine tree and wutong and another viewing pavilion on a rocky promontory, beneath clouds and the setting sun, the unglazed base with recessed glazed centre in imitation of a turned-wood brush pot.

    A large and impressive Chinese porcelain famille rose-verte charger, painted with a scene from the “Dream of the Red Chamber” with Lin Daiyu being introduced to her new tutor Jia Yucun by her father Lin Ruhai, within an elaborately decorated pavilion with draped curtains and tables with various ornaments and flowers, the foreground set with pierced garden rocks and flowering shrubs all beneath a prunus tree amongst iron-red, gilt, yellow and blue clouds, all within a gilt and iron-iron floral and diaper border amongst four leaf-shaped panels depicting elegant reclining ladies, the underside glazed white.
